We have always seen the perfect t-shirt as a collaborative project. We knew from the outset that we would need the help, support and encouragement of many different people and organisations to make the project happen. We're now at a point where the partners who inspired and informed us at the very beginning of the project need to be complemented by other people with expertise in specific areas.

Please get in touch if you or anyone you know would like to support the project in any of the following areas. We cannot offer financial compensation, but we're hoping that the right people will be keen to share their knowledge and a small amount of time to help make the perfect t-shirt a reality.

Clare Hieatt at Howies and Kate Fletcher continue to support us with overall guidance based on their unwavering commitment to sustainable and ethical living. Thanks for helping us get off the ground guys!

We're looking for someone who can provide advice and contacts for various types of sustainable crops. From rain-fed organic cotton, to organic bamboo, and organic UK-grown hemp or flax. We want to find a low-impact source of material, so we are looking for low/no irrigation requirements, harvesting by hand and processing with renewable energy - preferably from an on-site source.

We're looking for someone who can provide advice and contacts on how various types of raw material can be transformed into a soft, luxurious and long-lasting fabric. We're interested in combining cotton with bamboo and possibly flax or linen. Maybe in natural undyed colours, maybe in totally eco-friendly but robust natural dyes.

We're looking for someone who can provide advice, contacts and maybe even undertake design. How to cut with minimum wastage, the right balance between loose and fitted, in both mens and womens styles. Details are important too, the type of thread used for sewing, and the material and position of the label.

We're looking for someone who can provide advice, contacts and practical help with logistics. How to get different ingredients from one place to another at different points in the supply chain. How and where everything comes together, cost-effectively and with minimum impact.

Rachel and Ismat are going to be helping with retail distribution and promotion, based on their commitment to low-impact luxury and organic living. Thanks for all the contacts and suggestions so far!

We're looking for someone who can provide advice and contacts for publicity purposes. We've been putting a lot of time, energy and love into the perfect t-shirt project. When the time comes we'll be looking for a return on our investment, not strictly in financial terms, but by making more people think about the impact of what they buy, how it's made and where it's come from.

We're looking for two students who are passionate and switched on. We want to take two people on, either from the UK or abroad, for a 3 month period over the summer to focus on the business and fashion aspects of the project. You'll get some great experience, great contacts, great perks and a summer in a great city.
